DIGITAL PULP TOP WINNER AT WEBBY AWARDS
-- Receives "People's Voice" Award for Bausch & Lomb's PureVision.com
July 2006
New York, NY - Digital Pulp was a lead winner at the 10th Annual Webby Awards in June for its work for the PureVision brand from Bausch & Lomb. PureVision, a new silicon hydrogel contact lens, was introduced by Bausch & Lomb last year through a marketing campaign and website by Digital Pulp. The agency won the ìPeopleís Voiceî Webby in the Pharmaceutical Category, which acknowledges the popularity and appeal of the site to consumers.
ìAs the ëOscarsí of the international digital world, the Webbys have tremendous prestige in our business,î says Ron Fierman, President of Digital Pulp. ìIt honors us that among so many notable entries, our work for PureVision was recognized as the Peopleís Voice. The award is particularly gratifying because it validates the usersí attraction to and appreciation of the site that was designed to inform in an entertaining way.î
Launched last summer, the PureVision website provides a variety of information to understanding the benefits of the hydrogel option. The vibrant, image-rich site sets up unique discover/interact simulation to explore the technology behind the lens with interactive and multi-media demos.
This yearís Webby Awards was one of the biggest in its history, with more than 5,500 sites entered from all 50 states and more than 40 countries. According to Tiffany Shlain, founder and ambassador of The Webby Awards, ìPureVisionís Webby nomination and win is a testament to the skill, ingenuity and vision of its creators.î
